Our Co-Director Lisa Smith, went on a 4 day business trip to Albany in the Great Southern during April, and it certainly was an action-packed trip!
She started the trip by conducting a group EMP certification – welcoming 3 new EMP practitioners to the Australia New Zealand team: Katie Arbuckle, Kahlia Ericson and Carly Watts. Well done on becoming certified EMP practitioners and welcome to the team!
Lisa then spoke at the opening of the Albany iHub; an innovative new space designed for people to come together, seek mentorship and grow their business ideas. The iHub is a collaboration between Worklink WA, Breakthru WA and Albany Chamber of Commerce and Industry; and is funded by the State Government. You can find out more about the iHub here.
During the iHub opening, Lisa presented her thoughts around “Has your business dream got legs?”. She talked about how her mindset has changed from being an intrapreneur to an entrepreneur, and the considerations she made as she moved to self-employment. The audience was invited to have their own entrepreneurial mindset assessed, and they participated in some group learning to look at their profiles closer.
Finally, Lisa caught up with another fellow EMP Practitioner, Lisa-Maree Ellett, Director at WILANGI and also a Board member of Albany CCI. Then, it was time for a bumpy plane flight home!
